As a full-time travel writer I have worked in almost 100 countries. Thousands of my articles have appeared in over 150 magazines and newspapers in five continents, including the Daily Mail, Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Herald, Scotsman, BA Highlife, CNN Traveller and Business Traveller.

I write on travel for a variety of magazines and newspapers mainly in the UK and US, as well as write monthly sections in Highland Life and easyJet magazine. I also have my own BBC Radio Scotland travel slot. Regular Internet work includes SimonSeeks.com and TheTravelEditor.com.

As well as writing regularly for the Internet I have authored travel guides to Bermuda, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Scotland for Berlitz, Bradt, Dorling Kindersley, Globetrotter, the AA, T Cook and Insight.

I also run the Scottish travel website InsiderScotland.com, covering hotels, restaurants, adventure sports and much more in my native land.
