Here’s why I’m such a fan of the @N_T_S

I love history, I mean seriously love history in all its forms, and like nothing better than rambling around the ruins of an old castle or discovering the secrets behind the swinging tapestries of a grand palace. It’s handy then that I was born in and now live in Scotland, a land with more castles and Roman camps per capita than anywhere else in Europe.

For years I’ve visited National Trust for Scotland sites all over Scotland and have written about them everywhere from magazines and newspapers across five continents, through to my National Geographic guide to Scotland. It’s great to now be blogging every month for this impressive heritage and conservation organisation.

I will be trawling the length and breadth of Scotland to report back on each site, so stay tuned for the blogs. I’m keen to show you that history does not need to be boring and that each of these sites is brilliant fun to visit. You will find links to my blogs below. Enjoy!
