I’ve had a long love affair with Croatia over the years. Since my first visit during the early 1990s I have been dozens of times, travelling all over the country and penning hundreds of articles on this most beguiling of countries, as well as six guidebooks.
I headed back recently to report back on how much Croatia has changed since the 1990s war and also slip over the border into neighbouring Montenegro, which is widely tipped as the ‘New Croatia’. Below is the piece I wrote for the Scotland on Sunday.
